OK, sorry guys I left ya for a while, I know I keep comming back then leaving, then coming back, then leaving again! I hope ya'll remember be from a while back! Very Happy MAKE SURE WHEN YOU SMUDGE YOU USE CIRCULARE MOVEMENTS! NO BACK N FORTH AND UP AND DOWN!
Please Note: I am very rusty, this is my first time in over a year trying to color a horse. Smile
I'm using RobinLara's base for my coat.

Now the Hooves:

Finallly we get to start on the mane! I have sort-of a new technique then what I used to use, so it looks alot better. Still stay on Photofilter.
Outline the area where you want your mane. Out line it in the color (or similare color) you want the mane to be.

then fill it in and add the shine!

Then smudge it in (Only do a 25% smudge) again... CAREFULLY!!!!!!!! This is one of the main attractions of the horse.
Now, lets do the tail!

Lets add some shines an scribbles!!!!! Laughing Razz (You know how to do that)
OK, then you mix it, and it look BRILLIANT!!
OK here is the tail photo:

Now we are going back to GIMP to finish it!! Then we will be done Razz
I just added a few markings, fixed the mane and tail and I am finished!

Pretty nifty! Great advice about smudging. I personally like a longer mane, but that's a matter of preference. Don't feel bad about never getting on... I become obsessed with horse art for a few days, and then forget about it the rest of the year lol. Smile
