Mane and tail tutorial [GIMP]

[colour=orange]Step 1:
Select colour picker tool on the left side, then click on a part of your photo pony's mane.


Step 2:
With that colour, then select the Paintbrush Tool, and draw a square box.


Step 3:
Next, select the Dodge/burn tool and follow these instructions precisely;
-Miss out a line, but do one stripe straight down the next.
-On the next line, go down, then back up again.
-On the third line, go down, up, and down.
-On the last line, go down, up, down and back up.


Step 4:
Now, select the first colour (the main one you chose first) and fill in the whole mane.


Step 5:
Now select the second darkest colour, with the Colour Picker Tool and do different streaks here and there all over the mane. (On the 5th brush -from smallest)


Step 6:
Repeat this for the other 3 colours.
