i decided to make a tutorial on gimp because so many people were asking for one and there were non. its my first tuto, sorry if it is kinda confusing. bounce lol!
folow links, sory still cant up load to photobucket (its getting realy anoying!!)

#1 choose base, and colors (for the body choose about 5 shades of the same color for body), fill in coat. then with the darkest shade of the coat highlight the black lines with one of the bigger circle brushed (depending on size of the coat)

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220154448&story_flag=0&p=first.jpg

#2 highlight the high lights you just created with the second darkest color

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220155819&story_flag=0&p=second.jpg

#3 repeat step 2 but with third darkest color.

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220155952&story_flag=0&p=third.jpg

#4 go over all the high lights with the second darkest shade

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220156064&story_flag=0&p=fourth.jpg

#5 with original color add high lights for musle tone.

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220156207&story_flag=0&p=fith.jpg

#6 (this may be confusing) (Smudg with the same sized brush you were using) ZOOM IN. look at the way the colors are going if there are lines going up and down smudge up and down untill colors are smooth, do the same thing if they are going in other directings but folow the direction of the color.

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220156263&story_flag=0&p=six.jpg (ignor the linges going side to side on the nek)

#7 finished product (i suck at the noses so i left it un-done)

http://extranet.elfwood.com/extranet/picview.html?unik=1220157052&story_flag=0&p=finished_five.jpg

hope it helps!

Finished Product, and i'm pleased!

GIMP Tutorial :) (body onaly) ASnowyPicture-SafetyCopy

I had abit of a prob though, as whenever I wanted to see it it can out in a straight line, like all shoved together, but in photobucket or GIMP, it's normal!
Any ideas?

Very Happy

ooo a new step to add!!!! make the white part of the original bace transparent so you have just the lines then add the lines to a new layer (set to transparent) right on top of the finished horse it makes it look so muck better!
