Travel Information of New York City

New York is the most crowded city in the United States and the center of the New York municipal Area, one of the the majority populous metropolitan areas in the world. New York City exerts an important impact upon global commerce, finance, media, culture, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. As the home of the United Nations Headquarters, it is also amain center for international affairs. The city is frequently referred to as New York City or the City of New York, to distinguish it from the state of New York, of which it is a part.

Located on a large natural harbor on the Atlantic coast of the Northeastern United States, New York City consists of five boroughs: The Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. With a 2010 United States survey population of 8,175,133 spread over a land area of just 305 square miles (790 km2) New York is the most closely populated main city in the United States. As many as 800 languages are spoken in New York, making it the most linguistically different city in the world. The New York City Metropolitan Area's population is the United States' largest, expected at 18.9 million people distributed over 6,720 square miles (17,400 km2),and is also part of the most populous joint statistical area in the United States, containing 22.2 million people as of 2009 sample estimate.

Why Tourists Likes The New York City?

Visit Central Park:

Central Park has presented a welcome escapes from the concrete jungle of New York City for over 150 years. Take a walk, a boat ride or just enjoy a picnic in Central Park and discover for yourself.

Great NYC Views:

The inspection deck at the Top of the Rock might not be as famous as the Empire State Building Observation Deck, but that is one of its major advantages making it far less busy. In calculation, timed ticketing means avoiding the mad waits that are routine at the Empire State Building, and you can enjoy beautiful views of Central Park, as well as the Empire State Building itself from the top of the rock.

Visit Public Library:

This beaux art building was the biggest marble building in the us at the time of its construction in 1911. In addition to beautiful architecture and an impressive book collection, the museum is feature momentary exhibits on a variety of topics. Don't miss the free guide tour to get a full approval a of the library's architecture, history and network.

Great Art Museum:

The Frick Collection is one of my favorite museums in New York City for several reasons. First, it's housed in the former manor of Henry Clay Frick on Fifth Avenue, so you can experience his opulent home first-hand, while checking out his art collection. The museum's collected works is also a manageable size, allowing visitors to explore the entire place in a single visit. I also enjoy how the art is organized much as Frick had displayed it in his home -- according to his taste, as opposed to by artist or by era.
